Shelter provides independent and confidential advice and support. We can help you if you are:

Living in run-down, dangerous or overcrowded housing Facing homelessness or are worried you could become homeless Having problems with your landlord (both private landlords or local council / social landlord) Facing eviction or repossession Unsure how benefit changes affect your housing Dealing with priority debts, negotiating payment plans or want help managing a budget

Within our team we have legal specialists who are experts in housing law and if you are eligible for legal aid they can give you free advice and legal representation.

We also offer specialised support services for people who are living in unsuitable accommodation or who are facing homelessness. Our skills support service can help with things like finding or preparing for work. Our DIY skills Adviser can assist you with managing small repairs to your property.

Computer access

We have an information resource centre in our reception area that is available for people to access the internet.

Access

This is available throughout our opening hours between 9am - 5pm. If you need assistance to use the computers please call us to arrange for an appointment.

Access

Every day we hold drop in service from 9.30am - 12 noon. No appointment is necessary, but you may need to wait to be seen. We also offer pre-booked appointments throughout the day and you can call us during our office hours.
